Little Rock High School is still here today. It has many white and African American students. The Little Rock Nine gave courage to other African American students and families to go to white schools. One by one schools got integrated. Even though the schools got integrated, there are still challenges. Things slowly got better for Black students but not all the changes stuck. For example, in the 1990s and 2000s, busses that took Black kids into schools in white neighborhoods weren’t required to do it anymore.
